A new web site, SobhanBabu.com..

Hi folks,

We are happy to announce that we started a new web site, SobhanBabu.com. We just got started and a lot needs to be done in terms of content and new links. We are opening this site today in due respect to Sobhan Babu on the "pedda karma" day (April 3, 2008).

It is an open invitation for you all of you from us and kindly join our Discussion Board and freely participate and talk about the old movies/music that takes you back to your childhood/school/college nostalgic memories.

I see quite a few of like-minded folks here (with a penchant in the old movies/songs) and we will certainly have fun.

I have seen in a few places about Sobhan's First Somethings. They all say that his first color film is Kannavari Kalalu which came Dec 73 or Jan 74. It is incorrect because there are a few films that came before that.

His very first color film must be Lava Kusa where he acted as Shatrughnudu. If we discount that this role is insignificant (how can Shatrughnudu be significant? ), there are other movies which came in 1971-73 frame. They are:

1. Iddaru Ammayilu (71 or 72, ANR is the hero but Sobhan is 2nd hero with a significant role).
2. Sampoorna Ramayanam (71 or 72). Of course, as Lord Rama, this must be his first color film as the lead hero.
3. Doctor Babu (Oct 73). This is a social film with him as the hero and came a few months before Kannavari Kalalu.
