hi
she once told in an interview that at that time heroines were never noticed for their histronics. After seeing a few hollywood films she thought that she should be noticed on the screen as an actor and not as an doll and first to grab the attention of people she started acting in a little bit different style which was uncommon to indian cinema.
If you see the films like chandi rani, swargaseema you find her imitating some hollywood actor(aa hollywood actor peru gurtuku ravatledu)
And the word she has given to her father that however degraded the film be she will sing one keertana in every film

Dear Nanda Kishore:
Bhanumathi was very fond of the acting of the Hollywood actress Ingrid Bergman. She used to watch her movies quite often and she could not resist the temptation to imitate her in her own acting.
