This is in response to Sri Ravigaru's message. While my response might be not very much in favour of SPB, it is not the intent to degrade him personally. And I have due respect to Balu as you all.

Around 83 or so, in a stage program conducted by all the then music field folks like Balu, RK, Anand etc.. as tribute to the legend, Sri Madhavapeddi had clearly said, when Mastaru were alive, he told music directors, to give songs to others, including SPB (This SP himself says so many times). But after his demise, it is now SPB's era and we all (covering all the singers like himself, Pithapuram, Anand, RK and others) lost our chances to him.

SPB bent his head to see his feet.

I am not here to judge the living legend now. He might have done what he had to, to survive the cometitive world. Yet, the values have changed over time is the essense.

May be that is the reason, he agreed to do the Padutha Theeyaga, in which he gives opportunity to so many singers that they too get their due chances..
