1) Yavvanam guvva laantidi
egaranee paikegaranee
Ippude rekkalu vasthunnayee... (goes something loke this..& sung by SPB and Susheela)
I dont remember the movie name exactly. But I guess... Yavvanam Kaatesindi (early 70s)...Any help?...
2) Kannayya lanati annayya vunte kannulenduku
Maa annayya challaga navvuthu vunte vennelenduku.. (second line I am not sure)

You may be right. It could be from Bangaru babu but not from Manchivadu. I am ruling out Manchivadu since I watched the movie.

You are right, the song is from Ramayya thandri.

The kannayya lanti annayya song was from Bangaru Babu, picturized on ANR and Jayanthi.
The yavvanam guvvalantidi was not from yavvanam katesindi but I think it is "devude digivaste" but I am not 100% sure. It was a sociomythological movie where Ramakrishna played the role of Krishna and Satyanarayana in the other leading character. |

Inthavaraku nenu okkanne 70s songs knowledge vunavaani (naa circle lo) anukunevanni. Kaani, ippudu chusthunte meerantha chaala pedda masters laa vunnaru.
Maadhi Amalapuram (East godavari) prakana Bhimanapalli village. Konaseema vaallam kaabatti, chinnapudu cinima picchhi baagaane vundedi.

You are very true Mohammad gAru..
Hanuman, Nanda Kishor, Surya G, Sunson, Movie_Lover, Maruthi (JMK), Agent 116, Jamesbond, Ramu etc are just "ari veera bhayankarulu" in the Telugu film knowledge.

We all share the passion for good old Telugu music but unfortunately, in the glory days of Telugu film music there was hardly any electronic documentation so we all have to rely our memories to jot down the little bits of information. |

I am curious to know where you all (Hanuman, Srini, Nandakishore, Surya, Kandagatla, movielover, JMK, Nishigranha, ...etc) spent your 70s (town/village-dist??). AS I mentioned earlier, I am from a vilage near Amalapuram. I started my primary schooling in 1972 and I was there until my 10th class (1982).
Cinima ki vellalante pakka voorlo tooring talkies or Amalapuram vellalsinde!! Kaabatti, ekkuvagaa radio lo vacche paatalu enjoy chese vaallam (nenu & maa akka).

I am from Nalgonda district. I stayed in Nalgonda until my Intermediate studies (1981). Though I stayed in town but did not get to watch movies quite often so I used listen radio as much as possible.
I am going back to those days and recollecting my memories...when I listen great collection of songs on this site....
Thanks to Srini..who brought this great idea of putting together this site with all great songs...great job....

What is your first name?
Hanuman has been in touch with us for more than a year, but we don't know much about him, except that he is on the east coast and comes to my rescue, whenever I post some doubts about movies/songs here We will be curious if he shares (with us) some info about him..
Maruthi (JMK) is from Anantapur. Movie_Lover is from Khammam. Nishigandha is from VJA. Venu Bhagavathula is from Bandaru.. And all these four are on the east coast.
BTW, I forgot where sunson is from... probably from Vijayawada too
Kishor and Santharam are in B'lore.
And, you might have known about me and Surya G already (we menitoned our places and back-drops in many places on this site).

I never thought so.. My guess is that our Jamadgani/Hanuman should be in the mid/late 40's and prince db's Hanuman is of our age..

I don't think so.. our Hanuman has very unique style and it doesn't go with Jamadagni's. Secondly, mana Hanuman gAridi antA venaka paTTu i.e. very very knowledgeble in the 50's, 60's and 70's movies. On the other hand, Jamadagni's style is almost like ours (70's and 80's). |
