Hi Sathish,

Good one. The last itme I heard it was almost a year ago Sad

Maganti Raghuram gAru, an ardent fan of this site told me once that the movie, dAna dharmAlu (1976) was never released. Only the song seemed to get popular during that time.

Talking about popular songs from movieస not released, here are two songs that I recall.

గులాబి రంగు పెదవులు ... నిషా కలిగించు కన్నులు ... ముద్దాడి వెచ్చని వడిలో ... చేరమన్నవి మధువు గ్రోలమన్నవి...

The above song was a soulful solo by SPB and used to be quite popular on radio but they always used to say that it was from an upcoming movie by the Sangameshwara Art Pictures but I don't think the movie was ever named or released.

Then here is another from the same banner (may be from the same planned movie as the above). This is a kind of a humorous song by SPB and Janaki.

తోంతా ... తళాంగుతా... తెగ తోంతా ... తకధిమి తోంతా ... నెత్తిని తోంతా ... తోంతా ఆ.... నెత్తిని తోంతా ...

Today I have seen a funny thing on Teja TV (while leaving for the office).. A movie was coming on the TV (8: 00 - 10: 30 PM PST) and some popular actors are in the movie: Ranganadh, Chandra Mohan, Roja Ramani, Ravi Kondala Rao, Rama Prabha and KV Chalam etc.. I just watched the movie for a couple of minutes and the funniest thing is that all of their voices are dubbed by some other people. Sounded very odd to me.

Then I wanted to know which movie it is from sunnetwork.org/tejatv.. it says "navvutU batakAlirA". Do you have idea on this movie?

Are you sure your TV's sound is not broken? Very Happy It must be quite unusual for so many native artists to be dubbed especially during those days. Any ways, the movie name doesn't ring any bells.

Smile It sounded really odd to hear some other voices for Chandra Mohan, Ranganadh and Ravi Kondala Rao. Then in the next scene it was the turn of Rama Prabha and KV Chalam to my shock.

Before leaving for work (and dropping the kids at school), I tend to see which movie is coming on Teja TV and the next minute, my younger daughter grabs the remote and switches it to the kids channel. I just happened watch this movie for just a couple of minutes (in the middle of the movie) Sad

One good thing about Teja TV movies, they get repeated Smile There might be a slight possibility that we can find more details about this movie in the near future.

Just to see whether someone can remember the starting of these songs that will be hosted very soon...

You are right Sunson, but the movie is 'Maa Bhoomi'.

Singer is Sandhya, Lyrics by Suddala Hanumantu and music by Vinjamuri Seeta.

Very popular song those days 'O palabuggala jeetagada..'

I happened to watch this song recently on Teja TV. Song is picturised on K.R.Vijaya & Haranath. It is a solo by P.Suseela and I instantly liked it. The song used to come those days on the radio. It is from the film 'BhalE pApa' and music apparently is by R.Govardan. The song goes like this:

అందాల జలపాతం చిందించు జల్లుల్లో
ఆనాడు ఒంటరిగా జలకాలాడాను..పులకించిపోయాను

I feel that this can find a place in the best solos of PS.

Srini, host this song immediately so that our members also can listen to it and recollect the song.

I watched this song sung by 'Bhuvanakruti' one of the finalists of Zee Telugu Sarigamapa. The 12 year old girl sung this classical song so well that S.Janaki the chief guest of the programme was in tears with joy. She was in all praise for the girl having sung this song solo, which actually was sung by P.Suseela and S.Janaki in the film 'Sangeeta Lakshmi'. It is one of the rare songs in which both the renowned singers performed their best.
Unfortunately, Bhuvanakruti couldn't win the finals because of the stupid commercialised SMS voting system adopted by TV channels to decide the winners.

The song goes like this

రాసక్రీడ ఇక చాలు
రాసక్రీడ ఇక చాలు
నీకై రాధ వేచె వెయ్యేళ్ళు
రాధ వేచె వెయ్యేళ్ళు

Srini, this song deserves a definite place on our site as one of the rare songs.

Surya, talking about the movie Bhale Papa, did you also listen to another song by Susheela, which goes like "chitti papa chirunavvula papa, naa jabilli neeve bangaru talli"? It is also a very good song and can go in the category of lullaby songs.

Recently watched a part of it on the Tejv TV.. Haranadh is an anti-hero (he ditches the heroine and refuses to accepts her and their kid). SVR, though in a short role, excelled in the blind man role. I guess it was the peak drinking phase of Haranadh's career and he looked horrible in each scene.

I missed the titles of this movie on the Teja TV and did not know the movie name until you both were talking about it. As you mentioned that Haranadh, KR Vijaya and the title is bhalE pApa, I guess it should the same movie (as the whole movie goes around a kid). Correct me if I am wrong.

hi,

The film you are talking about is a remake a hindi film called ansoo aur muskan. The speciality of this film is one song sung by Kishorekumar.

In the entire history of binaca geetmala only two songs came to top the charts within one week. Generally the system of rating in Binaca geetmala was based on the post cards received. Those days a new song used to enter top of the charts only after around 6 weeks. And those two songs were not of Rafi or lata or any other singer but of kishorekumar. One song is Khaike pan banaraswala from don and another is from the film Ansoo aur muskaan. Has anybody listened to the song the song goes like this

Guni jano bhakt jano and goes on listing all the actors of that time.

If nobody has listened to this song, I can send it so that it can be uploaded in the hindi section or wait somemore time till srini gives some space for me

Don't give me too much credit because I too watched this movie (only portions of the second half though) during my summer trip to India. Yes, it is the same movie that Srini and movie_lover were referring to (lottery ticket, etc.). I too agree with Srini that Harnath looked horrible. It is amazing how much damage alchohol could do to such handsome guy within a few years span. For those of you who may not be aware, Harnath was once considered the most handsome hero (and rightfully so) and had the potential to go into superstardom but alchoholism got the better of him and we all know the rest of the story.

NTR gave the role of Rama to Haranath in Sitarama Kalyanam in which Sobhan babu played the role of Lakshmana. This shows how leading Haranath was those days compared to SB.

Alchoholism is a curse to film industry!

NTR gave the role of Rama to Haranath in Sitarama Kalyanam in which Sobhan babu played the role of Lakshmana. This shows how leading Haranath was those days compared to SB.

Alchoholism is a curse to film industry!

NTR picked up Haranadh just because of his tender and handsome looks and strongly believed that he himself would be too old to play the "kalyANa rAmuDu" role (rAmuDu must be in his late teens when he got married) and secondly he was himself playing the pivotal role of rAvaNa. Hats-off to his judgement.

I think alchoholism also took over the mahAnaTuDu, SVR as he died because of the ill-health by the mid 50s.. I always wonder why SVR and Ghantasala looked so old by the time they hit 50 years..
